Questions shops ask
What is the GYS equivalent of a Car-O-Liner CTR9?
The GYS PTI Genius Plus is the closest match: a 14,500 A transformer-gun spot welder with up to 600 daN of clamp force, a motorized boom and a liquid-cooled gun. The GYS PTI NEO (14,000 A maximum, 550 daN, 30 A circuit) is the smaller alternative. The full side-by-side is in the table above.
What is the GYS equivalent of a Car-O-Liner CMI300 Pulse Trio or Duo?
The GYS Autopulse 220-M3 for the Trio and the Autopulse 220-M2 for the Duo. Both are single-phase pulsed MIG/MAG generators with integrated wire feeders for steel, aluminum and brazing wire, so one machine covers the same three jobs without changing liners or spools.
What does GYS offer against the Car-O-Liner CR200 spotter?
The GYSPOT Arc Pull 200, a drawn-arc puller for aluminum and steel studs and keys, sold on its own or as the Expert 200 combi station. See the dent repair table above.
Does GYS or Hand Cannon have a rivet system like the Car-O-Liner PNP90 XT2?
Yes. The GYSPRESS 10T is a 10-ton pneumatic-hydraulic self-piercing rivet system, and the battery-powered Hand Cannon SPR-5-DFC reaches 80 kN with digital force control. Both are in the riveting table above.
Can I trade in my Car-O-Liner welder?
Yes. We take Car-O-Liner spot welders, MIG welders and rivet systems in trade toward new GYS or Hand Cannon equipment. See the trade-in section on our used equipment page.
Where do these specs and prices come from?
Car-O-Liner figures are from Car-O-Liner's published brochures, catalogue and product pages. GYS and Hand Cannon figures are from the GYS datasheets and our product pages. Where a manufacturer doesn't print a value, the table says so. Car-O-Liner doesn't publish machine prices on its own site. Where a Car-O-Liner price is shown, it is a published list price for that configuration, with the seller and the date we saw it; actual dealer pricing varies. Where no published US price exists, the cell says dealer quote. Our prices are read live from our store.
Have a Car-O-Liner now?
Trade it in toward a new GYS or Hand Cannon, or ask us about reconditioned equipment.
