A dead battery stops a car moving through the shop. GYS supercapacitor jump starters charge themselves from the vehicle's weak battery or from another source in minutes, then deliver a high-current start. There's no internal battery to wear out, so they're ready the next time you need them.
We carry the GYS STARTRONIC 800 (12 V, 800 A) and the GYSCAP 680E (12 V, 9,000 A peak) for gas and diesel vehicles.
Engine size
Bigger engines and diesels need more starting current. The GYSCAP 680E is the heavier unit.
How often you jump cars
Supercapacitor boosters suit shops that jump vehicles every day, because there's no battery to replace.
Voltage
Both units are 12 V.
How does a batteryless jump starter work?
It charges its supercapacitors from the car's low battery or another source in minutes, then releases that energy all at once to crank the engine.
Will it start a completely dead battery?
Usually it can draw enough from a weak battery. If the battery is completely flat, it can charge from another source first.
Is there maintenance?
Very little. There's no internal battery to keep topped up or replace.
