G6 Arm Insulated
The 250 mm × 44 mm low-profile specialty arm for GYSPOT PTI Genius, NEO, Chief MI300T, and OEM-approved units. Engineered with an ultra-short 44mm end drop, it is designed specifically to slide into highly restricted pinch welds on Ford and Volvo architectures where standard arms simply cannot clear.

The Ultimate Low-Profile Problem Solver
The GYS G6 Arm (250 mm × 44 mm) is the ultimate accessibility tool. While it shares a similar overall profile to the standard G1, its massive advantage lies in its extremely short 44mm (1.73-inch) end drop. When executing pinch welds on architectures like Ford and Volvo, technicians frequently encounter clearance issues where the standard 3-inch electrode of the G1 simply will not fit. The G6 slides into those tight inner panels and restricted clearances like an absolute glove, delivering factory-approved spot welds in areas other arms can't even reach.
Applications & Compatibility
- Target Applications: Highly restricted pinch welds, narrow inner structures, and specialized panel clearances (specifically ideal for Ford and Volvo).
- Machine Fitment: Designed for GYSPOT PTI Genius, NEO, Master, Evolution, and OEM-approved systems including the Volkswagen VAS 821 101A, BMW-approved PTI welders, and Chief MI300T / MI300i.
- Geometry: 250 mm reach × 44 mm height—the shortest, thinnest profile available in the heavy-duty GYS arsenal.
The Reality of Maintenance vs. Replacement
We are fully transparent with our shops: the G6 is the only arm in the GYS lineup that we functionally consider a consumable. Because the end is machined so thin to fit the electrode into incredibly tight spaces, it is heavily susceptible to arcing out at the bottom bolts during extreme use. While meticulous technicians can extend its life by constantly replacing the insulating booties and servicing the connections, most high-production environments will eventually need to replace the arm entirely once the base arcs out. It is the necessary trade-off for having unmatched accessibility. CRTE Member Pricing may provide significant savings on a complete replacement arm.
