Everything a body shop MIG welder burns through: contact tips, nozzles, diffusers and springs, steel and Teflon liners, drive rolls, torches, ground cables and clamps, wire, and auto-darkening helmets. Most of it is genuine GYS for GYS MIG welders, with the torch size (150 A, 250 A, 350 to 500 A) in every listing.
We also stock ITS tips, liners and consumables that are compatible with the Pro Spot SP-1, SP-2 and SP-5, and weld test coupons in steel and aluminum for setting up a machine before you weld on the car.
Match the tip to the wire
The tip size has to match the wire: 0.6 mm / .023 in, 0.8 mm / .030 in, 1.0 mm / .040 in or 1.2 mm / .045 in. Aluminum wire uses its own tips.
Match the torch
Tips, nozzles and diffusers are made for one torch size and thread (M6 is the common one). The listing names the torch.
Steel or aluminum liner
Steel wire runs in a steel liner. Aluminum and silicon bronze wire run in a Teflon liner, or they'll feed rough and bird-nest.
Silicon bronze for galvanized panels
CuSi3 wire for MIG brazing keeps heat down on coated steel. Check the repair procedure first.
How often should I change contact tips?
When the wire starts to feed erratically, or the arc wanders. A worn tip is the cheapest fix for a bad MIG weld.
Do GYS tips fit other welders?
Some do. Several M6 tips are listed as compatible with Pro Spot SP models, and each listing says what it fits.
Do you carry welding PPE?
Yes: auto-darkening helmets (including air-fed models), welding sleeves, jackets and gloves.
