This adapter takes the TEXA OBD connection across to the Deutsch 9-pin Type II socket. The catalog lists it for Cummins and Allison installations, John Deere, CNH Group, JCB and Argo Group machines, and American trucks. A tech reaches for it when the engine or transmission has the round Deutsch plug instead of a 16-pin OBD port. Once it is in the chain, IDC5 TRUCK or IDC5 OFF-HIGHWAY reads the controller through your Navigator interface as normal.
