Reconditioned Pre-Owned Pro Spot i4 Resistance Spot Welder — i4-5885
This Pro Spot i4 (serial i4-5885) came to us as a trade-in in working order and has been through our full reconditioning process — inspected, serviced, cleaned, and weld-tested by CRTE technicians before listing, with fresh consumables stocked throughout. We don't distribute the i4 new; we take them in on trade, recondition them, and stand behind them.
The i4 is Pro Spot's inverter-based resistance spot welder, aimed at the high-strength and boron steels of modern unibody construction. It runs a double-acting spot gun on a four-cable system, so a tech can move between two-sided and single-sided work without rebuilding the setup. Electrodes are self-aligning and wide-spreading — an arm swap doesn't cost you a re-alignment. An onboard screen carries repair-procedure content and operator training, and weld software updates by flash card rather than a service call.
In a collision shop the i4 lives in the structural bay doing the everyday squeeze-type resistance welding a modern repair plan calls for, with the arm library covering the awkward geometry — wheelhouses, tight flanges, and closed sections reachable only with the C-to-X adapter. Simple machine, cheap and available consumables, arms that hold their value — a genuinely good used buy for a second structural bay.
