Older BMW motorcycles up to 1999 report faults by slow code rather than a modern serial protocol, and the AP09A is the TEXA cable that reads them. Connect it between the bike and your TEXA interface and IDC5 BIKE pulls the stored codes from the control unit. It connects directly, without the 3151/AP01 bike main cable. Later BMW models use the 3904607 (3151/AP37) cable instead.
