GYS 049598 — Stud Welding Electrode, M5 & M6
This GYS 049598 electrode drives threaded stud installation in M5 and M6 sizes on your stud-welding gun. Swap it in when the old tip stops gripping clean — the contact point wears fastest of any part in the circuit. Keep a spare on the shelf so stud jobs on dent-pulling and panel-repair work don't stall mid-shift.

Stud Welding Electrode, M5 & M6 — GYS 049598
Fits GYS Expert 200 and compatible stud-welding systems (Chief, Pro Spot PR-2 / PR-2000 / PHS-101 / i4 / i4s) · GYS Ref. 049598
This electrode is the contact tip your stud gun uses to drive M5 and M6 threaded studs into sheet metal for dent pulling and panel repair. It carries the weld current to the stud and controls how clean the fusion sets. As the tip wears from repeated arcs, stud grip weakens and welds start pulling loose under load.
Why Keep This On The Shelf
- Stud welding is a daily task on any PDR or collision bay — a worn electrode stalls the job mid-repair
- Sized specifically for M5 and M6 threaded studs, so the fit is exact, not approximate
- Cross-compatible with GYS Expert 200, Chief, and several Pro Spot stud systems already on the floor
- Inexpensive consumable — cheaper to stock a spare than to wait on a reorder
